  1. If we look at the Effective Practices Framework of SchoolPlus, we can see that it essentially provides a template for integrating school and community networking. The Effective practices are just that, effective practices that any school would want to follow in order to provide students with an holistic educational experience.

The collaborative planning and monitoring process has built into it the planning, progressing and actualizing stages which, when followed with a deliberate plan in mind, that "all educational activity must lead to positive outcomes in one or more of these developmental areas." These developmental areas include Caring and Respectful School Environment, Responsive Curriculum and Instruction, Assessment for Learning Adaptive Leadership, Authentic Partnerships Comprehensive Prevention and Early Intervention.

The proposed Scott Collegiate facility in Regina, will be one such application of the Effective Practices Framework of SchoolPLUS. The proposed facility will have authentic partnerships with local health providers as well as the local police services. In its "mall" format, the building will give students access to real work experiences in an environment that closely mimics a "real life" environment. Students will work and learn in this environment while hopefully gathering skills that were not available to them in the traditional school environment.
